He was born in 1958 in Erbaa. He attended primary school in Erbaa, secondary school in Turhal, and high school in Kabataş High School for Boys. He graduated from Istanbul University Cerrrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1984. He specialized in Haseki Training and Research Hospital in 1997.
